The Orthodox Calendar brings together several features in one app. It includes the church calendar from 2010 to 2030, presenting the dates according to the Gregorian and Julian calendars, as well as lunar phases and types of fasting. The calendar can be displayed in three formats: textual, with icons of saints, or with pictorial representations of fasting. It also provides information on the start and end dates of all fasting periods throughout the year.

In addition to the calendar, the app includes a comprehensive listing of holidays and patron saints. Each holiday or patron saint is accompanied by an icon and a brief biography.

The app also features a prayer book with over fifty prayers, and it has a built-in calculation tool for determining the date of Easter and Catholic Easter by entering the year.

Furthermore, users have access to the text of St. John Chrysostom's Divine Liturgy. The app also provides four different widget sizes (1x1, 2x1, 2x2, and 4x1).

The Orthodox Calendar automatically adjusts movable holidays and fasting periods for each year based on the date of Easter and lunar phases.

Version 2.5 introduced several enhancements, including the extension of the church calendar up to 2030, darker highlighting for fasting periods in the calendar, an expanded list of patron saints, the ability to mark favorite prayers for quick access, and bug fixes.

Starting with version 2.1, the Orthodox Calendar supports Latin characters.

Version 2.0 included an extension of the church calendar up to 2019, improved navigation between months and years, a new daily view, easier switching between calendar display modes, addition of missing patron saints suggested by users, and correction of typos reported by users.

Version 1.5 extended the church calendar up to 2017, added observances for summer, St. Michael's, and autumn memorial services, updated the graphics of saint icons, fixed a bug that caused excessively large widget sizes on certain devices, changed the layout of the 4x1 widget, and introduced three new widgets in sizes 1x1, 2x1, and 2x2.

Version 1.4 fixed issues with displaying feast days on January 16, 23, and 30 as well as saints' feast days from March 1 to March 13 in non-leap years.

In version 1.3, the app added the display of daily fasting types and lunar phases on the home screen and widget (limited to the years 2010-2015). The church calendar now includes:

1. A pictorial representation of daily fasting periods, with the option to switch views using the menu
2. A listing of all fasting periods
3. Automatic scrolling to the current date

User feedback led to the addition of several missing patron saint feast days in the app.
